Drôme on foot

Hiking in Drôme with family or friends means taking full advantage of the great outdoors such as the Vercors or the Baronnies. All choices are possible, from very easy, ideal for a family ride, to difficult, for experienced and athletic hikers.

The gorges of the Ardèche

Ardèche tourist site which forms a real canyon of about thirty kilometers dug in the limestone plateau between the Pont d’Arc (Vallon-Pont-d’Arc) and Saint-Martin-d’Ardèche, can be followed by car from the side north by a panoramic road through the scrubland.

The Drôme by canoe

The Chauvet cave

The Chauvet cave or Caverne du Pont-d’Arc is an ornate Paleolithic cave listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Chateau of Grignan

The Château de Grignan is a 12th century chateau built on a rocky outcrop overlooking Grignan in Provencal Drôme, transformed into a fortress in the 13th century by the Adhémar family.

Labyrinths of Hauterives

4 labyrinths forming spirals, dead ends and romantic paths. More than 6000 trees and 7km of course in the arbor of Glycine, Lavender, Cypress and Charmilles. An ideal site for children, young people and the whole family.

The ideal palace for the horse postman

Historical monument built by the factor Ferdinand Cheval from 1879 to 1912: 10,000 days, 93,000 hours, 33 years of hardship. A strange mausoleum of stones and cement.

The crocodile farm

Zoological park consisting of a greenhouse of 8,000 m2 and an outdoor course of 4,000 m2, where you can observe more than 350 specimens of crocodiles, turtles and tropical birds.
